The Crooked Lanes on Third Street
Street diets suck! Especially in the rain at night.
Traffic lanes are not longer straight on Third Street. They weave back and forth from black to block and merging on and off the T-Line light rail without warning. Bicycle lanes merge in and out of traffic lanes. Traversing Third Street is hard and dangerous enough in the daylight. We recently experienced the same street at night in the rain, and found that it was even more difficult and dangerous. It is almost impossible to see the painted lines between the lanes in the rain. This design should be illegal.
